About the server that is MortenCB.CX

I have been running my own server on FreeBSD for a few years, after some convincing from my classmate at the Bergen University College, Bjarte Malmedal. After I was presented to FreeBSD, I haven't looked back, it's just a superiour operating system for servers, especially on the Internet.

MortenCB.CX has been upgraded lots of times, and is now running on an AMD Athlon 2000+ 1.67GHz with 1GB DDR-ram. It's not that much, but it does the job at the moment. The machine has a systemdisc (2x250GB mirrored with RAID-1) and a few drives (120+120+200+120+200+200+ 100+++) for the data. It has a gigabit ethernet card, and it's on gigabit uplink to the Internet.

At the moment at least the following is running on it:

FreeBSD
Apache
PHP
MySQL
PostgreSQL
Horde/IMP (webmail)
Mailman (mailinglister)
OpenSSH
Sendmail (for all the virtual domains I host)
Mange andre småting som IPFW (firewall), Bind (DNS server), Qpopper, IMAP, Imagemagick, Analog, ReportMagick.....
